I’ve talked before about the importance of texture in wedding invitations; for me, texture extends to everything else connected with the wedding as well. Where the programs and ghost story chapbook are concerned, it’s not just about physical texture; I wanted some pieces of both to also provide a glimpse of who we are.
One of the many ways I’m doing this is including photos of two book covers. The program will feature the cover of Love Notes, a romantic poetry anthology from Vagabondage Press Books which contains my poem “Today,” which I wrote shortly after meeting Nathan. The ghost story chapbook will close with the cover of Bad Apple—my debut short novel which is being released by the same house on September 25, 2012 (the day we get back from our Honeymoon). Both will provide contrasting texture and a pop of color as well as give some insight into our “normal” lives.
The photos arrived February 17. I’d miscounted, so I ordered a second batch which arrived on March 1.
