One of the things that’s made this wedding planning process fun is hearing the details about others’ weddings.

My friend Stacey is one I enjoy especially because I didn’t know her when she got married. On March 31, I went and stayed over she and Jason’s house, as we had a New England Horror Writers event in Massachusetts the next day and it’s always easier to carpool and split gas.

Stacey had done silk flowers for her wedding as well. Below, she shows me the photo of what she wanted, and the final result (made by one of her maids, I think).

What was also fun was walking into their house and seeing our invitation right on their kitchen table (notice they have just stocked up on snacks for the night for the win!).
