I’ve already admitted I’m a bag girl, so, one thing that was really important was the bag I was going to carry. The day after I ordered the gown, I started hunting around on line for the bag that would match it—not just in color, but in style and feel.
I did find the perfect one on Amazon, but put it on my wish list instead of ordering it right away. When I was up at the Norman Mailer Writer’s Colony, I was having second thoughts about it. With my friend, Michele, on the phone, we shopped around online together. My original choice was still the best (not to mention its dimensions were actually doable and I will be able to carry a little more in it than a lipstick and a match). So I ordered it on February 7.
When I got home, the bag had arrived!
